Put a bird on it

While perusing a bookstore in Springfield, MO, AC and I stumbled upon a thick blue linen book titled Extraordinary Birds: Essays and Plates of Rare Book Selections from the American Museum of Natural History Library. As you can imagine, it’s a book of birds, all the little to large winged friends in North America. This thick book doubled as a box which contained hand painted illustrations of all the featured Avifauna.

Today a few of them are lined up above our dining room fireplace on a rotation schedule to showcase all the favorites.

A little touch of nature to our farmhouse-inspired Brooklyn apt. until we set up one day in the woods.
